Spaghetti with Low Fat Salsa at Arnold's Way!

Follow me on facebook at:

Arnold made me a beautiful and delicious spaghetti with salsa for lunch. I wanted to get the recipe for everyone and myself to enjoy at home!
The recipe is spiralized zucchini spaghetti noodles, with a salsa made in the food processor including roma tomatoes, dates, red bell pepper, raw nori, and mango. The nori is optional, I usually don't have nori on hand myself. However, it does give the salsa a nice texture and flavor!
It took me less than 5 minutes to make. It is very easy to put together, and looks absolutely beautiful!! Cilantro would also go great in this dish or any other herb. You can always dress it up on the plate with some fresh green herbs.
Enjoy!

Frozen banana smoothie on a cold day? Not for me!!

When I run out of ripe bananas on a cold day, that doesn't mean I have a freezing cold smoothie! I quickly thaw my frozen bananas by filling up the blender with warm to hot water. It makes a warmer smoothie! It is quick and simple, and has saved me on days when I'm out of ripe bananas.
Hope this trick helps you all keep on drinking your smoothies through the cold winter days to come. Just do it raw =)

Daily Smoothie + My Freezer Tour!

This is literally my everyday daily fruit breakfast and lunch smoothies. I use two handfuls of frozen fruit, and add a bunch of ripe spotty bananas (5-7). I buy a lot of frozen fruit now! It's cheaper than supermarkets fresh fruit. If it's not bananas and frozen fruit, then fresh ripe fruit! In the summer, a lot of fruit is cheaper so I buy it and freeze it myself to make smoothies cold. Now, I am buying frozen fruit to add more variety into my high carb low fat raw vegan lifestyle. I have frozen blueberries, strawberries, mixed combo fruit bag, and mango.
I love smoothies with frozen fruit and bananas! Such great combos!
Just do it raw =)

Raw Vegan Spaghetti Salad (no blender needed!)

I wanted to show my delicious spaghetti salad for dinner! First I made the spaghetti by spiralizing the cucumbers, and adding the red onion, scallions, and tomatoes. I tossed and mixed that in very well so the flavors and textures were combined. I let that sit for a little bit as I prepared my greens to let the flavors marinate. Then I put all of that on a bed of greens: spinach, arugula, and baby romaine. I also put in some baby carrots on the side ! This is a very easy, colorful, beautiful, and delicious quick salad you can put together! Although it did not have a sauce, the greens and spaghetti gave the salad a very enjoyable texture. The tomatoes and onions flavored it perfectly.

My Typical Breakfast Date Smoothie

I usually eat a banana, date, and berry smoothie for breakfast and lunch on a high carb low fat raw vegan diet. It is very filling, sweet, satisfying, and holds me over to my next meal, no problem! Smoothies are great for on the go, and very convenient to bring to work, school, and out. Smoothies like this one usually take me 10 minutes to make AND drink (with chewing)! They are very quick, and super delicious! Better than any milkshake I have ever had !! Bananas and dates are a staple in my diet because they have lots of calories! They are high sugar fruit which gives me lots of energy to keep going through my day and help me to get everything done! Usually I put more bananas than dates in my smoothies, but I loves lots of dates in them as well!

Smoothie recipe:
about 30 khadrawy dates
5 bananas
about 7 or 8 frozen strawberries

Enjoy!!! =)

Raw Vegan Thanksgiving, Fruit Turkeys!!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! This was my Thanksgiving raw vegan fruit turkey! I shared it with my family and friends, and they all loved the idea and said it was so cute and delicious! I brought the pineapple turkey over my friend's house, and they loved it! Let's just say there wasn't much of the fruit feathers left, everyone went bananas over them! Enjoy these yummy fruit turkeys!
Base of fruit turkey: pineapple, small watermelon, cantaloupe, honey dew melon
Make sure to cut off and make a flat surface at the bottom of your base fruit so it is stable on the plate.
Fruit Feathers: pineapple, apple, pear, grapes, melon, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, grapefruit, oranges, watermelon, and any other fruit you would love to put on it!
Cut up your fruit into bite sizes and stick them onto the wooden skewers, then stick all of the wooden skewers into the base fruit to give the look of feathers.
Place a pear as the head on the front using toothpicks, use cranberries for the eyes, red bell pepper for the nose/loose skin and arms on the side of your base fruit.

Raw Vegan Twix, Very low Fat 811 style =)

Raw vegan recipes can be as simple as eating two fruits together! Combine your favorite dates to create candy that's unbelievably good for you, so sweet and delicious. If you eat fresh dates, they will satisfy your caloric needs, nutrition, and completely satisfy your sweet tooth. Fresh dates will give you lots of energy!
My raw vegan 80/10/10 twix recipe:
-pit a fresh deglet noor date
-pit a fresh khadrawy date
Then, all you have to do is put the khadrawy in the deglet noor, and that's it!
My 80/10/10 raw vegan twix even looks like the mini twixes, and it's the same color.
Enjoy the recipe, and be happy and healthy! =)
